When timid university student, Lina searches for her missing roommate, she finds Kiara studying an alien artifact with the archaeology department of their university. Upon investigating the dig site they're dropped into a world where dragons and starships share the skies and humans are despised. Unless they retrieve a rare power source, they can't get home.
Separated during an attack by manufactured monsters, Lina is rescued by an alluring stranger and taken to the heart of the Sorian Empire. She is torn between her ties to Earth, her new responsibilities, and the mixed feelings she has for her mysterious savior.
Believing the others are dead, Lina must choose between submitting to the Emperor, or embracing her past to save Earth. Time is running out before the window to return home closes forever.
